Di Buckland
In this multi-cultural society we are bombarded with images from many cultures. We are fascinated with the form and decoration of traditional Chinese and Japanese pots, Burmese masks, Pueblo Indian burnished ware, Italian majolica and try to emulate it. I'm fascinated with the colours and forms of a culture in our own backyard. My earliest memories of "another culture" are reflected in my current work.
